I apply therapeutic practices that are anchored in universal theories of human nature and psychological frameworks like Attachment Theory and Internal Family Systems, integrated with fundamental humanistic (Rogerian) skills. Integrative counseling as I strive to offer it, is thus a way of supporting and guiding an individual into and through a system of unconditional love, by foremost prioritizing a safe connection in tandem with theory & techniques from various therapeutic models. I am committed to understanding my clients and cultivating trust through a collaborative practice. Together we can explore a variety of specific interventions drawn from universal systems of healing and growth.
Alongside my formal education in Clinical Counseling, and Philosophy and Phenomenology, some of the specialized theories and modalities that I have trained in and apply are from John Sommers-Flanagan and his research on Evidence Based Relationship Factors; Somatic Experiencing; Internal Family Systems; Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Trauma Aware Breath Coaching, through The Whole Health Project.
